Digital publishing (or online publishing) is the process of publishing original content (like text, images, video or other media) on the internet. It includes creating websites, updating webpages, creating mobile sites and posting to blogs. Digital publishing is becoming more casual with the growth of social media and the intuitive and widely-available tools that emphasize and enable ease of use, simplicity, high accessibility, 24/7 updates and immediacy.

At Cisco, publishing is the intersection between the vision and execution of digital content and the user’s experience. Digital publishing brings the vision to life through compliance to established guidelines (legal, brand and others), a rigorous QA process and standard templates for scalability and ease of implementation.
